UPDATE GALAXY S4 LTE-A TO ANDROID 5.0.2 LOLLIPOP VIA CYANOGENMOD 12 NIGHTLY ROM
REQUIRED FILES:
Step No 2:- Transfer the downloaded CyanogenMod 12 Android 5.0 custom ROM to the root folder of the SD Card.
Step No 3:- Disconnect your Galaxy S4 once the ROM .zip file is transferred. Turn OFF the device in order to boot into Recovery Mode.
Step No 4:- Turn ON the Galaxy S4 LTE-A by pressing and holding Volume up + Home + Powerkeys at the same for a few seconds till the device enters into Recovery Mode.
Step No 5:- While the device is in CWM recovery, perform Full Data Wipe by selecting Wipe Data/Factory Reset, Wipe Cache Partition and Wipe Dalvik Cache also by navigating toAdvanced > Wipe Dalvik Cache.
Note:- Wipe Dalvik Cache will help you to prevent the boot loops and ROM related issues while installing the ROM on your Galaxy S4 LTE-A (GT-I9506).
Step No 6:- Go back to the main menu of Recovery and select Install Zip from SD card > Choose Zip from SD card.
Step No 7:- Locate the CM12 Nightly ROM zipped file which you have already transferred to the root folder of your SD Card in the previous step above. Select it and confirm to proceed the ROM installation process to start.
Step No 8:- Next, install Google Apps (Gapps) package on your Galaxy S4 by repeating the same procedure as in Step 6 and 7.
Step No 9:- After the ROM and Google Apps installation is finished, go to “+++++Go Back+++++” and from the Recovery Menu, select Reboot System Now.
Your Galaxy S4 LTE-A will be restarted now and it may take about 4 to 5 minutes to boot for the first time after installation.

BEFORE GETTING STARTED:
- Make a proper backup of all the important data and settings on the phone with a recommended custom recovery such as CWM or TWRP recovery before proceeding to the installation instructions.
- Make sure that you’ve properly installed USB Drivers for Galaxy S4 LTE-A GT-I9506 on the PC.
- Enable USB Debugging Mode on the Galaxy S4 by navigating to Settings > Developer Options.
- Check the battery level of your device, it should be charged at least about 80%.
- The Galaxy S4 should be rooted with a custom recovery (CWM) installed.
- The bootloader of your device should be unlocked.
